At Rtuition, we are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over your data. Rtuition is operated from the European Union and is fully compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. What Data We Collect
We collect the following categories of personal data when you use Rtuition:
- Account information: Your email address and name, provided during registration.
- Usage data: Information about how you interact with the platform, including features used, session duration, and interaction patterns.
- Conversation history: The questions you ask and the AI responses you receive, stored to provide your personal conversation history.
- Payment information: Billing details processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number on our servers.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use your personal data to:
- Provide the service: Authenticate your account, deliver AI tutoring responses, and maintain your conversation history.
- Improve AI responses: Analyse anonymised usage patterns to enhance the quality of our tutoring. Individual conversations are never used for this purpose without anonymisation.
- Billing: Process subscription payments and manage your account status.
3. Data Storage
- All account and application data is stored in Supabase, hosted within the European Union.
- Your conversation history is stored so that you can review past sessions and continue where you left off.
- We maintain an anonymised answer cache to improve response speed. This cache contains no personally identifiable information.
4. AI Processing
When you ask a question, your conversation is sent to the Anthropic Claude API to generate a response. Anthropic processes this data solely to provide the response to your query. Your conversations are not used by Anthropic to train their AI models. For more details, please refer to Anthropic’s data processing practices.
5. Third-Party Services
We work with the following third-party service providers:

6. Cookies
Rtuition uses strictly necessary session cookies for authentication purposes only. These cookies are essential for the functioning of the service and allow us to keep you signed in during your session. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or any third-party advertising cookies.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access: You can request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification: You can request correction of any inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Right to erasure: You can request deletion of your personal data.

8. Data Retention
- Your conversation history is retained until you choose to delete it. You may delete individual conversations or your entire history at any time from your account settings.
- Account data is retained for the duration of your account and will be permanently deleted upon request.
