1. Service Description

Rtuition is an interactive tutoring platform designed to help university students learn R programming and statistics. The service uses artificial intelligence to provide guided hints, explanations, and feedback on R code. Rtuition is a supplementary learning tool and is not intended to replace coursework, lectures, textbooks, or the guidance of professors and teaching assistants.

2. Account Requirements

• You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account and use Rtuition.
• Each individual may maintain only one account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits or for any other purpose is prohibited.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. Acceptable Use

When using Rtuition, you agree not to:

• Submit AI-generated answers as your own work. Rtuition is designed to help you learn, not to complete assignments on your behalf. Submitting AI responses as your own coursework may violate your university’s academic integrity policies.
• Engage in harassment, abuse, or any form of harmful behaviour toward other users or within the platform.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Rtuition platform or its underlying AI systems.
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.

4. AI Limitations

You acknowledge and understand that:

• AI-generated responses may contain errors, inaccuracies, or outdated information. You should always verify AI responses against your course materials and authoritative sources.
• Rtuition does not provide professional, academic, or certified advice. The service is offered for educational support purposes only.
• The quality and accuracy of AI responses may vary depending on the complexity and specificity of your questions.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

• Rtuition offers a free trial period for new users. Details of the trial duration and included features are provided at the time of registration.
• Paid subscription plans are available on a monthly basis. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you will retain access until that date.
• No refunds are provided for partial months. If you cancel mid-cycle, you will not be charged for the following period, but no pro-rated refund will be issued for the remaining days of the current period.
• All payments are processed securely through Stripe.

6. Intellectual Property

• The Rtuition platform, including its design, code, branding, and all related intellectual property, is owned by Rtuition and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
• You retain ownership of any data you upload to the platform, including code snippets and datasets.
• AI-generated responses are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use. You may use them for your own learning and reference. You may not resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit AI-generated content.

7. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability of the Rtuition platform on a best-effort basis. However, the service may experience downtime for maintenance, updates, or due to circumstances beyond our control. We will endeavour to provide advance notice of scheduled maintenance where possible. No service level agreement (SLA) is provided for free-tier accounts.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Rtuition shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. In particular, Rtuition is not liable for academic grades, coursework outcomes, or any consequences arising from reliance on AI-generated responses. You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of any information provided by the platform before using it in an academic or professional context.

9. Termination

• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we reasonably determine to be harmful to the platform, other users, or third parties.
• You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union and the Netherlands. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of Rtuition shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Netherlands.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
